How to Open Mobile Websites on PC Browsers Chrome and Firefox

In our daily internet usage we browse so many websites for different purposes and most of them in desktop versions. Its fine there is no problem with those websites but few of the websites are still in mobile version with no desktop version. They never opened in normal PC browsers by default and in some cases we also need to open desktop versions of websites in mobile version. So what to do?

Here We shared two methods to open mobile websites in pc browsers and one other method to open them in PC.

1. User Agent Switcher:

User agent switcher is an extension which is available on both chrome and Firefox browsers. It helps you to change the user agent of the browser with easy options. Here is the procedure on how to use it on both chrome and Firefox browsers.

For Chrome Users:

• First you need to download user agent switcher extension from chrome store by searching for user agent switcher, alternatively you can download it here. Download User Agent Switcher
• Now install it on your browser by clicking on add button, after installation it will appear beside on browser address bar.

• Click on User agent Switcher icon and select any one of the mobile user agent . Here i choose Android and again choose Android 4.1 – Nexus 7 model.

Now try to open any website and it will be opened in mobile website mode, you can also open any mobile website without any problem.

For Firefox Users:

Open Firefox browser and go to Mozilla add-ons page and search for user agent switcher addon, alternatively you can download it from here. Download User Agent Switcher

Click on “add to firefox” then it prompts one dialogue box named with software installation.Click on install now button to install it on your browser.

• Once installation completed you need to restart browser and after that you will get this addon on Tools menu named as “Default user agent switcher”.
• Click on that and select Iphone 3.0 to change the user agent of the browser. Now you can open any website in mobile mode and also open mobile websites in pc.

If you want more user agents then go to this addon options and download the whole list of user agents.

2. Opera mini Simulator:

You can Use Opera mini simulator to open mobile websites in pc browser like chrome and Firefox. Opera mobile browser developers make a simulator which is useful to users for the purpose of testing websites. Here we use the same simulator to open mobile websites in our pc browser.

• First open any one of the browser available to you and type this website address in your browser address bar. http://www.opera.com/developer/opera-mini-simulator
• Now it asks your permission to run java objects in your browser. Click on allow button and run opera mini simulator.
  

• Now open any mobile website in that mobile simulator and it will be open with in seconds based on your internet speed.

That’s it. In this way you can open any mobile website or browse desktop versions in mobile mode. This will be helpful to browse some blocked websites also.
